How to use the Ketone Breath Meter?

  • Read & follow all safety precautions included in the user manual
  • Follow the set-up process including installing 2 AAA batteries
  • Press & hold the [start] button
  • Allow for machine to complete the countdown timer signaling it is in the “testing” mode
  • Blow into the hole for 5-6 seconds
  • Use the chart provided in the user guide to understand your results. The optimal range is:
    • 0.1-0.5 -> user is in light stage of ketosis
    • 0.5-3.0 -> user is in full state of ketosis, which is the optimal ketone zone
  • The Ketone Breath Meter will automatically turn off after 10 seconds of no use

Tips on how to get an accurate reading:

  • Exhaust the residuals completely with the ketone meter before your first use by running the keto breath tester 3 times without blowing, because each ketone breath analyzer was tested during the product before shipping to warehouse, there may be residuals.
  • Blow immediately right after displaying START on the tester for 5-6 seconds. When the line flashes on the screen, it means the device is analyzing the breath.
  • Allow 3-5 minutes before testing if attempting multiple tests in the same time period.
  • Test in the mornings while in the fasting status. Everything your intaking (including water) will influence the acetone content from your breath.
