Nature’s Hollow was founded by Ken Probst, who grew up working on his family’s dairy farm in Utah. When the business started to dry up, he searched for a new way to reinvent his family’s income. His father had always asked him, “What do you really contribute to the world?”. This question lingered in Ken’s mind as he began making gourmet preserves from berries he grew in his own backyard. As it turned out, he had a knack for baking delicious batches of strawberry, boysenberry, blackberry, blueberry and raspberry preserves! He now sells a wide variety of jams, fruit spreads, sauces, syrups and condiments made from recipes that have been tried and tested to perfection. Life is about preservation for Ken; preserving the best fruits and the simplest methods for making them delicious.
Nature’s Hollow was founded when Ken’s friend and neighbour told him about xylitol and how it could be used to create sugar-free products. Xylitol is a sweet-tasting, low glycemic, and zero net carb natural compound that is derived from plant material, including many fruits and vegetables and birch wood. It is used as a sugar replacement in food and beverages, and even as a key ingredient in fluoride-free toothpaste since it also has benefits for dental health! With diabetes on the rise and too many sugar-sweetened condiments on the market, Ken set out to provide healthier alternatives for his customers.
